Anita Ferrari, CA, FCA

Toronto born and raised, Anita graduated from the University of Toronto and joined Grant Thornton in 1983 as an assurance practitioner. She earned her CA designation in 1985, attained partnership in 1997 and earned her FCA designation in 2009. As an assurance and business advisory partner, Anita has provided services to clients ranging in size from small, growth-oriented, owner-managed businesses to multinational organizations.

She has held numerous prominent positions within the firm, including serving as managing partner of the Toronto area practice for 5 years, and on the firm’s policy board nomination committee, the human resource advisory committee, as a member of the assurance leadership group and as a member of the policy board. Anita joined our leadership team as regional managing partner in 2006 and is currently a member of the firm’s National Leadership Team and serves on the Professional Excellence Committee.

Anita spends considerable time volunteering in her community. Currently she is a member of the ICAO Professional Conduct Committee, an advisory board member of the ICAO/Rotman Centre for Innovation in Accounting Education and a board member of the ICAO Staff Pension Plan Committee. She is also a volunteer with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
