Before graduating from Memorial University in Newfoundland, Bill worked with Grant Thornton as a student through a series of cooperative work terms in our Marystown office. He joined the firm on a full-time basis upon graduation in 1980 and attained partnership in 1991.
Bill’s role changed in the late 1990s to managing partner for the Newfoundland practice. During this time, he also took on the national roles of assurance and business advisory service line leader and clients and services partner—positions that grew to become his primary responsibilities and prompted a move to our National office in Toronto.
Bill served as vice president and president for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Newfoundland (2001-2001). He continues to be a member of the Advisory Board for the School of Business at Memorial University.
