IFRS learning opportunities
As the deadline for conversion to International Financial Reporting Standards for publicly accountable entities looms ever closer, Grant Thornton LLP is proud to collaborate with IASeminars to bring you a series of timely courses on select topics relating to IFRS in Canada. We welcome the opportunity to share our expertise in international accounting matters.
We've provided a brief description of the courses we're leading in 2010, but for more detailed information—or to register—click on the links below.
Grant Thornton-led IFRS courses for audit committees and directors.
These Grant Thornton-led half-day workshops are designed to assist audit committee directors in meeting the financial literacy requirements of NI 52-110 by helping them to understand the accounting policies that might be applied under IFRS. They are also designed to assist audit committees in fulfilling their oversight responsibilities in relation to the conversion from Canadian GAAP to IFRS.
The courses have been developed for audit committees, but they would also be of benefit to other directors, executives, internal auditors, investor relations personnel, corporate secretaries and in-house legal counsel.
