Kelly is a tax partner in Nova Scotia, and a member of our Partnership Board. For the past seven years Kelly has been the national leader for the firm?s professional services group and specializes in providing tax and business advice to many professional services clients in Nova Scotia. Kelly has extensive experience in corporate and personal tax planning, complex corporate reorganizations, and mergers and acquisitions.
Kelly is the lead relationship partner for many of our most complex privately held business groups and high net worth family clients, where he brings his commitment to client service, professional knowledge and experience to ensure their strategic tax and business planning objectives are met.
Kelly has over 25 years' experience providing tax and business planning advice to clients in a variety of industries ranging from privately held owner-managed businesses to large publicly listed companies, including professional services firms, manufacturing and distribution companies and aboriginal organizations. He understands the tax issues facing these businesses and provides practical tax and business planning advice.
Kelly is also a lecturer for CPA Canada's Income Tax Practice course which is targeted towards general practitioners providing services to owner-manager clients. He is a former tutorial leader for the Income Tax Practice Course, Parts I and II of the In-depth Tax Course and has lectured at the Atlantic School of Chartered Accountants and at CPA Canada's National Conference on Income Tax.
