Managing Partner - Northern Ontario

Kim Toskovich

For more than 32 years, I’ve worked alongside Grant Thornton clients to help them address their tax consulting, accounting, and advisory needs. Whether I’m assisting individuals, private and owner-managed businesses, First Nations, hospitals or non-profits, my goal is to provide the clear, concise support clients need, when they need it.

This support ranges from assisting clients with complex business restructurings, acquisitions and divestitures, and personal and corporate tax minimization, to advising First Nation clients on tax and structural planning issues. My primary focus, however, is in succession and estate planning primarily for our privately held business clients.

Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to expanding my professional skills. I’ve completed the In-depth Tax Course from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants and attended various Canadian Tax Foundation and STEP courses.

As a Managing Partner of the Northern Ontario business unit, I lead a team of highly qualified business advisors. Together we help businesses across the region thrive, contributing to the positive impact of the local communities and economies. In my role, I’m committed to the growth of our team by helping them strengthen their technical skills as well as develop leadership skills.

Within the community, I’m a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, the Financial Planners Standards Council, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and the Canadian Tax Foundation.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children—particularly at our summer cottage. I also strive to give back to the community whenever possible.
