Kim is an assurance principal serving privately held businesses across a variety of sectors, and a member of our public sector group, where she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our municipal clients on their reporting requirements. She also provides business advisory services regarding municipal amalgamation and dissolution processes to municipalities across the province. Kim works with all her clients to find practical solutions to their business planning in a timely and efficient manner while considering their current and future needs.
Kim has over 19 years of experience as a public accountant. Her current focus is providing year-end accounting, tax and financial advisory assistance to many clients in a variety of sectors including privately held business, manufacturing, retail, municipal, not-for-profit and mutual insurance companies.
Kim is a strong supporter of community and enjoys being involved with a number of organizations, including director and treasurer, Special Olympics Pictou County; director and co-chair of fundraising, Highland Community Residential Services and past president and secretary New Glasgow Dragon Boat Society?Race on the River.
Kim?s varied background and involvement allows her to draw upon these experiences to bring proactive perspectives to her clients to achieve their goals.
Kim has presented courses at Grant Thornton related to accounting and reporting issues and has served with our Grant Thornton National Quality Monitoring Program, assisting with inspections of assurance files across Canada.
