    As an income tax partner, Glen has given advice to a broad range of clients from owner managed businesses to public companies, on all aspects of personal and corporate tax planning, corporate reorganizations and succession and estate planning.


    Glen is a Chartered Professional Accountant and received his B.Comm. (Hons) degree from the Memorial University of Newfoundland. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario and was elected as a Fellow of the Institute in 2009. He is also a member of CPA Newfoundland and Labrador, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia, the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Institute of Corporate Directors.

    Glen has had primary responsibility for the delivery of various income tax services to a number of Grant Thornton's most significant clients. He has a particular interest in working with privately held companies, including family owned businesses. He has had significant leadership roles within the firm, having been the National Tax Leader for a number of years as well as serving as the Managing Partner for Southern Ontario.

    Glen has made a significant contribution to income tax education in Canada. He was a coordinator, instructor and tutor for various CICA income tax courses for over 20 years. In 2005, he received CICA's Award for Excellence in Income Tax Practice and Education, for outstanding contribution to the profession and the Canadian tax community.

    Glen has served two terms on Grant Thornton's Partnership Board and has participated on numerous committees within the firm. To further his interest in governance systems, he received his ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors in 2014 and is a graduate of the ICD - Rotman Directors Education Program.

    He has authored and presented papers on taxation at National CICA conferences, written articles and appeared on various TV and radio programs.

    Over the years, Glen has given back by participating on the boards of various community organizations. This includes, most recently, having served as an officer on the Rotary Club of Toronto Charitable Foundation and as Treasurer of the Rotary Club of Toronto.
