The Laurier Academic Case Conference (LACC) is a two-day event hosted by Grant Thornton in partnership with Wilfrid Laurier University. First year business and economics students from universities across Ontario are invited to attend. In addition to the team business case competition, students will have the opportunity to network with representatives from various firms, and take part in workshops focusing on personal professional branding, developing effective resumes and cover letters, and how to make an effective sales pitch.
Team Business Case Study
On the first day of the conference, students will be presented with background information for the team business case competition. The business case study will feature problems and issues that companies may face in daily activities, and will challenge delegates to find creative solutions to be presented to judges. Teams will deliver professional presentations to a panel of esteemed judges consisting of Laurier faculty, Laurier alumni and various industry professionals. Grant Thornton is pleased to offer a scholarship valued at $2,000, which will be awarded to the winning team.
