As a partner in Grant Thornton’s international tax practice, I’ve spent over 20 years providing services to multinational clients investing into and out of Canada. This experience includes dealing with cross-border acquisitions and divestitures, structured financing and cash repatriation strategies, as well as assisting foreign-based multinationals in the development of worldwide tax minimization plans. It has also enabled me to work with businesses across numerous sectors, including retail, automotive, media, mining, engineering, printing and software and technology.

Over the course of the years, I’ve had the opportunity to share my experience through teaching at the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants’ Part II In-Depth sessions, as well as lecturing for the Masters of Tax program at the University of Waterloo.

On a personal note, I’m an avid skier who enjoys taking the family up to the hill on the weekends. I also enjoy collecting records, going to the record store with my son, and walking the family dog, Maya, at the lake.
