I am passionate about helping my clients on both sides of the border to navigate the ever-evolving U.S. tax laws. The rules are complex and it is extremely rewarding when I can replace fear and panic with a clear, simple and practical path forward. I advise American expatriates as well as Canadians who are working or investing in the U.S.
My expertise stems from 20-plus years of experience in Canada and the U.S. Throughout my career, I’ve helped people seamlessly move across the border in either direction, decide how to invest in their U.S. vacation property, and protect their wealth for the next generation.
I am licensed by the state of North Dakota and have completed the In-depth and In-residence Tax Courses (Levels I and II) from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. Rounding out my passion for estate planning, I earned the Trust and Estate Practitioner designation (TEP) and serve as Treasurer for the local Winnipeg STEP chapter.
I volunteer for several causes in my local community, serving on the Board of Directors for Prairie Theatre Exchange as Treasurer, and fundraiser for various charities, including the Canadian Cancer Society and Heart and Stroke. I also enjoy public speaking, and breaking down complex tax laws into language that everyone can understand.
