Tax planning is a critical element of every business strategy. I work with a wide range of privately held businesses to optimize their tax planning and compliance – from start-up to succession planning.
With over 35 years of public practice experience in audit and taxation—I’ve assisted businesses of varying sizes. From large, multi-national corporations and their shareholders to small, independent enterprises. I take pride in delivering exceptional service, practical advice and innovative thinking in all tax-related aspects of structuring, financing, and operation.
I have significant experience working with energy and service companies in both upstream and downstream sectors as well as companies in the manufacturing, processing, construction and real estate industries. I’m an active contributor to the accounting profession as an author and presenter at various tax conferences, including;
- Prairie Provinces Tax Conference
- Atlantic Tax Conference
- Canadian Petroleum Tax Society.
In the wider community, I’ve served as campaign chair for the United Way of Saint John and Treasurer for the Rothesay Netherwood School.
I am an avid music lover so when I'm not travelling or enjoying the outdoors, you can find me listening to music and playing the guitar.
