As National Tax Leader my role is to advise my colleagues and clients on tax strategy and planning, as well as increasingly, to be an advocate for our clients concerning government and public policy issues. I work with teams across Canada to help clients preserve and grow value through sound tax strategy and planning. In Halifax I also lead a close-knit team of succession and estate planning specialists.
I enjoy a challenge, especially when I know it’s helping my clients meet their financial goals. I draw on extensive experience in corporate and personal tax, corporate reorganizations, succession planning and mergers and acquisitions to deliver practical advice to private and public companies. It’s my job to stay on top of complex and ever-changing tax laws so my clients know that they are supported.
I’m focused on learning & development within my profession leading as a coordinator and lecturer for CPA Canada. I’m also a former tutorial leader for CICA and have lectured at the Atlantic School of Chartered Accountants and at CPA Canada's National Conference on Income Tax.
Outside of the business world I take on other challenges that allow me to stay active and support my community. I’m a youth basketball coach and serve on the board of the Halifax Grammar School. I’m also love cars, and love spending time behind the wheel at the race track.
