As leader of the corporate Recovery & Restructuring (R&R) practice in British Columbia, I am responsible for the delivery of all R&R services in the province. I have more than 26 years of experience, with the last 20 years focused exclusively on R&R. I began my R&R experience overseas, practicing in various jurisdictions and qualifying as a restructuring professional in the United Kingdom. I returned to Canada in 2003 and became a qualified Canadian insolvency practitioner in 2004, leading the Vancouver practice since 2006.
I am a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT), Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) and hold an MBA and law degree from Dalhousie University.
I have been involved in a variety of restructuring and recovery engagements, from small, single-entity engagements to large, complex engagements across industries and jurisdictions. I provide services to lenders (institutional, chartered banks and private lenders), troubled companies, regulatory bodies and government institutions.
Outside the office I enjoy volunteering in my community, as well as for CAIRP and other professional bodies. During my spare time, I look forward to kayaking, hiking, sailing and long road trips with my family. I’m an avid science fiction fan and try to squeeze in a good novel every couple of weeks. I’m also a novice road biker with aspirations of completing the Whistler Fondo.
