I’ve worked in public practice, industry, NPOs and government for over 18 years. But regardless of where I’ve worked, my focus has always remained the same—to build strong organizations, help people and guide individuals and entities through the tax and business world to achieve their goals.
When I’m in the office, you can find me sitting down with clients and taking my time to understand their unique concerns, goals and needs. Above anything else, I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me and leave my office with a clear understanding of what needs to be done. For this reason, I take great care to conduct conversations in layman’s terms—and ask as many questions as necessary to determine how to best serve them.
The days that I am not meeting with clients, I’m usually in my office dealing with firm issues, staffing issues, voicemails, emails, working with staff or conducting client work. If I’m not in the office, I’m likely out around town talking to people or attending a community function.
I was born in the Prince Albert area, and have lived in the Prince Albert since 1991 with the exception of a brief four-year hiatus. I’ve raised my children here, volunteered at their schools, led tutoring and mentoring programs, and participated in many church, sport and board activities. I’ve also been a member of CGA provincial and national committees, as well as the CGA provincial Board of Directors. I’m currently a member of the CPA provincial committee, and a former Prince Albert Community Foundation Board of Director/Treasurer, Southeast Community Foundation Board of Directors and Chairperson of the Resident/family council at Good Shepard Villa.
