As Senior Manager, Cybersecurity, for the central region, I’m pleased to lead the cybersecurity team.
I assumed my current role in September 2018, marking an exciting new chapter in a career that began 20 years ago. As an electronics and communication engineer, I started my career in network engineering and telecommunications, where I worked with clients from a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, manufacturing, banking, IT and telecommunications, education, health sciences, electronics and more. The experience I gained in operations and engineering acted as a springboard for my current role which involves providing clients with the advisory and consulting assistance they need to achieve their strategic aims and grow their businesses.
At Grant Thornton, we’re also committed to giving back to our communities, both as a company and as individuals. For me, that involves serving on the boards of the Durham Association for Family Resources and Support, as well as the Literacy Council of Durham Region. I also volunteer with Girls Inc. of Durham, Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC), Town of Whitby – Property Standards Appeal Committee, and on the Cybersecurity Program Advisory Committee for Centennial College.
My passion for sports and photography also finds me golfing and long road trips across Canada. In addition to allowing me to enjoy Canada’s beautiful outdoors, and explore the power of teamwork, these hobbies are a lot of fun, too, and help me bring my best to my clients, colleagues and communities.
