Since 1989, it’s been my pleasure to serve as part of the Grant Thornton team in Charlottetown. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with private businesses across a number of sectors, including agriculture, fisheries, construction, and distribution. After turning my full-time attention to tax planning in 1996, I’ve advised clients in areas ranging from estate planning and mergers and acquisitions to corporate and personal tax planning.

On any given day, you might find me managing compilation and review engagements for privately-held businesses, conducting strategic discussions with clients or advising private corporations on general remuneration matters. Additionally, I regularly mentor and coach a group of accountants, and help to assign our staff resources to appropriate engagements.

From a professional development standpoint, I’ve been a tax instructor for multiple courses organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Prince Edward Island.

Personally, I’m a bit of a fitness buff and enjoy weight training. As an avid cyclist who loves the outdoors, I spend a lot of time exploring the beautiful Prince Edward Island countryside. I also served as the president of Cycling PEI—a non-profit provincial sports organization.
