A senior manager at the Grant Thornton Calgary office, I specialize in providing domestic tax advisory services to privately-owned and owner-managed clients—from local family-run business to large, privately-held corporate groups.
Since earning my CA designation in 2003—and completing all three levels of the In-Depth Tax Course (2004), the Advanced Tax Planning for the Owner Manager course (2009) and the Corporate Reorganization course (2015)—I’ve been committed to helping my clients meet their pressing personal and financial objectives.
Day-to-day, I advise clients on corporate and personal compliance, tax deferral and minimization strategies, CRA communications, succession planning and tax-efficient operational structures.
Internally, I’ve spent the last six months building a cohesive tax team with a new group of hires. In this role, my responsibilities involve providing one-to-one coaching and team mentoring, establishing consistent processes and creating an encouraging environment conducive to learning and self-development.
Beyond the office doors, I’ve recently added a horse to my family, which has been a dream of mine since I was a young girl. I’m excited to develop him into a proficient working ranch horse and ideally compete with him. In my spare time I also love the creativity and artistry of quilt-making, and enjoy challenging myself with different techniques, any chance I get.
