With over 25 years of management and consulting experience, and over a decade running my own consulting practice, I joined Grant Thornton in 2018. Throughout the course of my career, one thing has remained consistent: my commitment to helping business owners and leaders grow.
Over the years, I’ve worked with organizations in a wide range of industries, including construction and the building trades, manufacturing, construction, retail, education and municipal government. I help our clients improve their organizational performance, strengthen their human capital strategies, adopt Lean processes, plan for succession and put tools in place to drive growth.
I provide tactical advice, create process improvement programs, develop training materials and coach managers. You can also find me interviewing employees while wearing PPE. No matter what I’m working on, my aim is to fully understand a client’s problem before proposing solutions. I work hard to understand the underlying issues my clients face and spend a lot of time listening. This focus on communication allows me to bring new perspectives and ideas, and recommend proven productivity and team performance tools, that give clients the confidence that the tools of growth are not a mystery.
I enjoy giving back to the community and act as an MBA mentor at the University of Victoria Gustavon School of Business, as well as a member of the Program Advisory Council for the marketing department at Camsoun. Additionally, I’m a columnist for Douglas Magazine and a LinkedIn author.
In my spare time, you can find me learning the craft of the cocktail, cooking, reading, walking, spending time with my family and travelling.
