I began my career as a manager in the banking industry, obtaining my CMA designation, before my love of accounting spurred me to join Evanic Perrault Robertson (EPR)—where I learned the audit, tax and accounting industry from the ground up. In 2001, after earning my CGA designation, I became a partner at EPR and spent several decades building outstanding relationships with my clients, the business community, various institutes of learning and many not-for-profits across Saskatchewan. My primary focus has been completing audits and review engagements for a variety of not-for-profit entities. In 2018, EPR merged with Cogent CPA LLP, which in turn joined forces with Grant Thornton in 2019.
Over the years, I have been very involved in our local community, sitting on boards and committees of CGA Saskatchewan and CGA Canada, as well as the CPA School of Business Western Region, Saskatoon and Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, North Saskatoon Business Association, Saskatoon Habitat for Humanity, Saskatchewan Scouting Foundation and various Rotary Clubs. I’ve also helped many young accountants get their start in accounting by mentoring them as co-op or articling students. In 2010, in recognition of my outstanding contribution and work as an accountant, I was awarded a Fellowship designation.
