On January 1, 2019, I assumed my current role at Grant Thornton as a Partner, marking an exciting new chapter in my career. As I reflect back on my journey from a mid-sized national firm to a small local firm and now, to Grant Thornton, I am thankful for each step along the way.

I find it extremely rewarding to help my clients achieve their goals, particularly in the areas of growth, tax planning and risk management. I enjoy solving day-to-day problems so my clients can focus on what matters most to them. Oftentimes a business owner, organization or professional simply requires a different perspective on the task at hand; by drawing on my experience, I am able to provide helpful advice to a diverse clientele so I can meet their varied needs.

At Grant Thornton, we’re committed to the communities in which we live. My wife and I are raising our two young children in the Midland area—the community where we were both raised. I currently serve as Treasurer of the Southern Georgian Bay Chamber of Commerce, as Chair of the Audit Committee for the Town of Midland and as the Assistant Coach of the Midland Centennials Novice Rep hockey team (Go Cents!). Coaching and teaching young kids a sport that is relatively new to them requires leadership, teamwork and patience—important attributes that I value in my life both professionally and personally.

I also have a passion for Georgian Bay and all that it has to offer. When I’m not on the water with my family, I enjoy playing hockey with my friends, playing guitar and reading books about personal development and working smarter.
