A Certified General Accountant with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, I started my public practice accounting career back in 1986. Through the years, I’ve not only helped clients address their most pressing accounting needs, but I’ve also made it a priority to give back to the community.
I’ve volunteered at the Royal Life Saving Society, the Canadian Red Cross Society and my local church. In 2011, I joined the board of the Abbotsford Restorative Justice and Advocacy Association and currently serve as the board chair. In 2012, I was appointed to the Audit Certification Board for the Province of British Columbia. In 2013, I became a board member of the University of the Fraser Valley and completed a 6-year term including three years as board chair. Most recently, I served on the Public Practice Committee on the CPA-BC board as vice chair and chair.
I’m also an active member in the Certified General Accountants Association of BC (CGA-BC), having served on the local chapter board, as well as numerous provincial boards and committees. In addition to serving on the Association’s board of governors and chairing the Public Practice Advisory Group, the Chapter Advisory Group and the Practice Review Committee, I also served as the President in 2010.
Outside of the office and my numerous volunteer efforts, I enjoy spending time with my wife Crystal, our two children, David and Carmen, and our grandchildren Ethan, Rylee and Gavin. I also enjoy diving in tropical waters and driving my classic cars around town.
