After completing a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Adelaide in 2006, I started my career with Grant Thornton in Adelaide, South Australia. During my time in the Adelaide office I completed the Chartered Accountants Program, and became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in 2010. In September 2011, I transferred within Grant Thornton to Edmonton, and in 2015 I became a member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta.

While focusing my career on privately held entities I have been exposed to providing bookkeeping, accounting and taxation advice to numerous businesses in a variety of industries. With experience in both Australia and Canada I have been able to grow and expand my accounting and taxation knowledge and, that of private companies. With the opportunity to move to Canada I have developed a knowledge of Financial Statement Disclosures in regards to both GAAP and ASPE reporting requirements as to satisfy banking covenants and other regulatory requirements.

Having completed the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada In-Depth Tax Program, currently my primary focus is on corporate and personal tax planning and reorganization strategies for small to mid-sized privately held businesses as well as estate planning pertaining to death and taxes. I tend to partner myself with clients seeking a proactive business advisor to assist them with harnessing their potential for growth. I have experience with a variety of industries but tend to focus primarily on the construction, real estate and hospitality sectors.
