As Partner and National Leader of the R&D and Government Incentives practice, I assist clients with SR&ED, tax credit and incentive matters, and advise on all aspects of claim eligibility, preparation, review and defense. Working with a multi-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers, grant writers and accountants, we help companies optimize their eligible tax credits and government funding opportunities.
Using my dual degree in Science and Business, I have had the pleasure of working with advanced technology companies across software, manufacturing, medical, financial services, green technology and agri-food industries for nearly 20 years. I am also proud to call one of Canada’s world-leading technology centers—Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario—home.
I was selected as a Protégé in the WXN Top100 Wisdom II Program through the Women’s Executive Network and I recently achieved the European Quality Award (EQA) coaching designation through the European Mentoring and Coaching Council. Active in the administration of the SR&ED program, I have also worked with CPA Canada in the SR&ED Symposium Advisory Committee capacity. Additionally, it is my honour to share my expertise as a frequent speaker and contributor for a variety of organizations, including the Toronto Board of Trade, Communitech Technology Association and Business News Network (BNN).
I am proud to be a member of our firm's Partnership Board and was recognized for my contributions to the field of science being awarded the Young Alumni Award from the University of Waterloo's Faculty of Science. I also enjoy volunteering with Kawasaki Disease Canada, a national charitable organization, and spending time with my family and traveling.
