With a focus on public sector entities—including local governments, regional parks and libraries, group homes and daycares, and not-for-profits—I deliver a wide range of audit, review, assurance, accounting and tax services. My aim is to help my clients meet their assurance goals so they can continue to attract the funding they need to thrive.
What excites me about working in public practice is that no day is ever the same. There are always changes in legislation, accounting and audit standards, clients and their operations, technology and people. My passion is solving the new problems that crop up each day in collaboration with the talented and knowledgeable people who work within our firm and among our clients’ organizations.
I meet these needs by drawing on the experience I’ve gained over the years. Before joining Grant Thornton, I worked for Cogent CPA LLP—first in their Weyburn office, then as a Partner while managing their Rosthern office and ultimately as co-manager of the Rosthern and Saskatoon offices. Born in Montreal, Quebec, I moved to Saskatchewan after graduating from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University. After arriving in Weyburn I earned my CGA designation (which was converted into a CPA designation) and my certificate of achievement for the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife Kristin and our two wonderful children, Hannah and Lucas. I am also passionate about donating to a wide range of community organizations, including Rosthern Good Neighbours Food Centre, SASK Valley Hospital Foundation, Valley Action Abilities, Station Arts Centre, Prince Albert Safe Shelter for Women and the Saskatoon Redwings Predators Peewee C Hockey Club.
