The majority of my 35-year career has been as a proud member of the Grant Thornton team. As an assurance and advisory partner focused on succession and estate planning matters, I deliver practical solutions that balance the family and business dynamics of privately held entities.
My clients represent a range of industries, but most are in manufacturing, distribution and professional services.
As an advisor, I focus on the “soft side” of succession, combining technical tax knowledge with sensitivity to family dynamics. I respect that these issues can be highly sensitive. I often work with multiple generations to articulate goals and objectives as they relate to succession and transition of wealth. It’s very rewarding to find solutions, together, that serve the family as well as the business.
I’m an advisor member of the Family Enterprise Xchange and the Family Firm Institute, as well as holding the FEA (Family Enterprise Advisor) designation. I enjoy sharing knowledge through articles and presentations on the challenges of succession and transition planning.
I also enjoy spending time with my own family and friends at the cottage, as well as curling or sailing together.
