As a Partner in our Independent Business Group at our Waterloo office, I take special interest in providing my clients with timely service and jargon-free business advice on a multitude of issues ranging from accounting to growth strategies.
In delivering these services, I draw on a wealth of previous experience such as CFO for Pestell Group of Companies, President of Pestell Transport and Pet Products, and CFO for Grand River Poultry. In 1999, I launched my own accounting firm, which later became known as DSK Chartered Professional Accountants where I was responsible for client and staff relations, client development, marketing and firm strategy.
This varied past allows me to truly understand my clients’ needs, rather than simply producing a set of financial statements and tax returns. My goal, above all else, is to make sure clients understand the context behind the numbers—and to help them generate ideas that lead to improved company performance.
For 16 years I volunteered as Treasurer for the Cambridge Shelter Corporation. I was also a board member for the Cambridge Community Foundation, a member of the investment committee, a Rotarian (and Paul Harris Fellow recipient) and a former Big Brother.
In my spare time, you can find me outside—either skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, golfing or kayaking (depending on the weather).
