As a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with over 20 years of experience, I’ve spent the majority of my career providing strategic and advisory support to business clients. While I performed most of this work as the head of my own consultancy firm, I am now proud to be a key member of the Advisory—Consulting group at the Grant Thornton Edmonton office as well as the National Practice Leader for Financial Transformation.
As my long-standing clients can attest, when working with me you will always be greeted with a passionate critical thinker committed to getting to the root cause of your business challenges. To do so, I apply a complex array of technical skills to identify the most practical solutions to meet your unique business needs.
I’ve honed this ability over many years, while working with clients across countless industries—including technology, financial services, real estate, benefits and not-for-profit. Every one of these clients unquestionably faced unique situations—but, as I’ve learned over time, their core needs are often the same. The key is to bridge the gap between what they need and what works for their organization.
While most believe the answer is a simple fix to a problem —particularly when it comes to financial or technology needs—I work to help them discover that their gaps and roadblocks to success are often not what they initially assumed. We build solutions that address the underlying issues to help them improve or refine existing processes, seize opportunities to automate, or streamline existing systems to move their business forward.
As passionate I am about my work, I also relish my spare time. When I’m not supporting my clients, you can find me spending time with my family, enjoying the outdoors, delving into a new book or giving back to the community by volunteering with local sports organizations and charities.
