The desire to contribute to the health and prosperity of our communities runs deep at Grant Thornton. Our commitment to creating a meaningful and sustainable impact on the communities in which we live and work is a core principle at our Firm. We believe that giving back to our communities through active involvement, building authentic connections, and providing financial support is fundamental to our greater purpose.

The Grant Thornton Foundation helps us organize our collective efforts—and supplement our personal endeavors—by providing impactful financial support for local, national, and international causes. From packing boxes for food banks to running in charity races, Grant Thornton colleagues do important work in their communities throughout the year. The scope of our colleagues’ personal passions is as diverse as our Firm, which is why the Foundation has programs that foster a wide variety of giving.

  • Our Greater Purpose Program allocates a percentage of Grant Thornton’s annual net fees for donation back into our communities with the ultimate decision of which charities to support being made at the local level.
  • Our Matching Program amplifies the effect of our people’s fundraising efforts by matching up to $2,500 to support local community initiatives.
  • Each year, we recognize colleagues who make significant or sustained contributions to charitable organizations or not-for-profits in their community through the Grant Thornton CEO Community Service Awards.

While giving back is simply the right thing to do, we recognize that ultimately our efforts are paid back in the strength of our communities.
