 The Canadian tax system is complex and constantly evolving. I pride myself on my ability to translate complicated technical matters into information that clients can use to make critical business decisions.

As a tax Partner based in the Halifax office, I specialize in tax-related planning and compliance, including provisioning and financial reporting. Over the years, I’ve advised clients ranging from small, owner-managed businesses to larger, national chains operating in the manufacturing, hospitality, retail, food, and consumer products sectors.   With over 20 years of practice experience in accounting and taxation, I help clients implement practical strategies to manage their tax obligations. 

Caring for people is one of my core values and there are various ways I give back to my professional and personal communities. As a content advisor of the In-Depth Tax Course for Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada, I develop and update course materials ensuring new trainees get the best training. As a past instructor, I received CPA Canada’s Jeff Jutzi Memorial Award for outstanding leadership, engagement, and dedication to the In-Depth Tax Program. 

Since 2003 I’ve been a volunteer member for the Halifax Search & Rescue Team as an emergency responder including fifteen years served as Treasurer. Qualified in search management and trained in the Incident Command System, I help ensure effective volunteer coordination to find missing persons and manage other civil emergency responses.

Passionate for the outdoors, I love taking my family for road trips with our travel trailer. As avid campers, we enjoy hiking, swimming, and fishing.
