We’re making important decisions to help amplify all that we do to help our clients, colleagues, and communities in Canada thrive.

As a Canadian owned and operated business, we’re committed to creating growth and sustainability for the communities we serve. We’re seeking to change our name to reflect the powerful combination of our deep roots across Canada and our continued membership in the Grant Thornton International network.

Our new name will be Doane Grant Thornton—it embraces who we’ve always been and who we'll become.

Doane was our founding firm in Canada. Together, these names tell a very Canadian story of commitment to entrepreneurship, community building, and serving the international needs of our domestic clients.

It’s about taking the best part of being a member firm of a globally recognized network and acknowledging the distinct business we’ve built in Canada.

We’re working through our launch plans and look forward to celebrating this exciting new chapter with you later in the year.

Why are you making this change?

The focus of our work and our greatest impact is here in Canada. Evolving our name allows us to celebrate our commitment to Canadian businesses and communities while remaining part of a globally recognized international network.
We share the same name as Grant Thornton in the United States. The prefix will allow us to avoid brand confusion.

What does this mean for me and my business?

There is no change or impact to you or your business.
Our strategy and commitment continues to be for our Assurance, Tax, and Advisory professionals to work together as one team to serve our clients and build our organization.

Is your ownership structure changing?

No, our ownership structure remains the same. We are a 100% Canadian owned Partnership.

When will the change be official?

We are building a comprehensive rebranding launch program which we look forward to sharing in the coming weeks and months.
