As an assurance principal, I specialize in year-end accounting and advisory services to meet the specific needs of not-for-profit organizations. I work closely with my clients who are membership-based associations, charitable organizations, pensions, multi-employer benefit plans, and universities.
It’s no question that my clients make a tangible difference in the lives of their members and stakeholders. That’s why it’s important for me to provide their stakeholders with the accountability, transparency, and credibility required. At the same time, I develop an effective working relationship with management to give them the tools and insights to guide their strategy and decision-making for continued success.
As part of my commitment to the profession, I’m actively involved in learning and development. I enjoy facilitating training courses, both internally to Grant Thornton team members and externally through professional associations. I’m a past board member of YMCA and currently serve on the board at Hope United Church.
Outside of work my young family also keeps me active—you can often find me windsurfing, kayaking, and tennis whenever I have the opportunity.
