As a Tax Partner, I focus on understanding the complexities of family enterprises so that I can better provide tax planning and tax compliance services to my clients. This includes their personal, corporate, philanthropic, succession or other estate needs.
I have more than 15 years of public practice experience focused primarily on Canadian tax. I have also completed the Chartered Accountants of Canada’s In-Depth Tax program levels I, II and III. More recently I presented at the Canadian Tax Foundation’s BC Tax Conference, as well as at a number of various private institutions, on current Canadian tax issues and planning techniques.
I was admitted as a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2007, and am also a member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia and the Canadian Tax Foundation.
When I am not in the office, I will most likely be at a Taekwondo Dojo. My oldest son is a third-degree black belt, my youngest son is a second-degree black belt and I am a first-degree black belt. While I still train as much as possible, I am actively involved with my boys’ training six days per week, as they compete internationally in Taekwondo sparring.
