As assurance partner and markets leader for Grant Thornton in Nova Scotia, I provide financial reporting services that help my clients navigate strategic business decisions. Today’s dynamic organizations demand tax and assurance services that consider both the present and the future. And that’s precisely how I approach every client’s financial reporting and planning needs.

I have over 20 years of financial experience primarily in public accounting. Over that time, I’ve conducted assurance and tax engagements in many sectors, including construction, real estate, healthcare, not-for-profit, and for many owner-managed, privately held businesses.

Prior to joining Grant Thornton, I was Vice-President of Finance and Administration for a large, private company. I oversaw the financial function of the parent company and its subsidiaries, had direct responsibility for several audits of the subsidiary companies, and played a lead role in a public offering. This experience provided me with perspective, and helps me to put myself in my clients’ shoes.

I contribute to my community as a volunteer with several organizations. I’m the Treasurer of the Board of Governors and the Chair of the Finance Committee at the University of King's College. I’m also the Treasurer for my son’s Dartmouth Whalers Hockey team, and I was the team leader and a participant of Bust A Move (BAM), a breast cancer fundraiser jointly held by the IWK Health Centre Foundation and the Queen Elizabeth II Foundation. I’m proud to have led the Grant Thornton BAM team for five years, helping raise over $250,000 for breast cancer research.

Away from the world of finance, I enjoy taking on physical challenges through skiing, golfing and cross-fit. I love to travel and to spend time with family and friends.
