As a principal in the Grant Thornton Assurance practice, I provide advisory services to many owner-managed businesses, non-profits and private enterprises. Specifically, I provide assurance, taxation planning, strategic planning and tax compliance support to organizations spanning many industries, including construction and real estate, fisheries, professional services, retail and, my primary focus, agriculture.
Over the last 30 years, I’ve worked tirelessly to help my clients grow and manage their organizations. In the agriculture space, I’ve worked with clients in a wide variety of areas, from industry benchmarking to succession planning. This experience has allowed me to carve out a niche as the Grant Thornton agriculture industry expert—and you’ll often find me sitting in on client meetings to assist my colleagues and their farm clients with agriculture programs and succession.
When I’m not advising clients, I’m often coaching senior members of our independent business group, or volunteering on several community boards. I sit on a health board, two community business development boards, my local church board, the PEI Agriculture Crop Insurance Appeals Board and my son’s local minor hockey board.
In my spare time, I like to get away to my cottage where I enjoy gardening, the outdoors and exploring on my ATV and snowmobile.
