As Regional Managing Partner, Central Canada, I have the privilege of leading approximately 500 professionals who provide a range of advisory, tax and assurance services. I’m also an assurance partner with a focus on the financial services and investment management industry. My clients include large private entities and public companies, both domestic and multinational.

I first joined Grant Thornton in 1998 in South Africa, before transferring to the firm’s Toronto office in 2001. During my career I’ve gained a lot of experience working with clients at various stages of their growth strategy. I really enjoy getting to know my clients personally, but also strategically, and helping them achieve their business ambitions.

My areas of specialty include: working with entities that report net asset values and investor returns; leading multi-disciplinary teams spanning audit, tax and advisory services; and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

In the financial services area I have expertise in investment funds (RESP, mutual and hedge), loan origination, loan servicing, and loan securitization trusts. I’ve been the audit partner for a sizeable number of investment-related entities.
