For the last 30 years, I’ve worked alongside Grant Thornton clients to help them address their tax consulting, accounting and auditing needs. Whether I’m assisting individuals, private and owner-managed businesses, municipalities, First Nations, hospitals or non-profits, my goal is to provide the clear, concise support clients need, when they need it.
This support ranges from assisting clients with complex business restructurings, acquisitions and divestitures of businesses, and personal and corporate tax minimization, to advising First Nation clients on tax and structural planning issues. My primary focus, however, is in the area of succession and estate planning.
Throughout my career, I have been committed to expanding my professional skills. I’ve completed the In-depth Tax Course from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants and attended various Canadian Tax Foundation and STEP courses (including the 2018 STEP Canada Taxation at Death and Post-Mortem Planning Course).
Additionally, I’m a member of the Certified General Accountants Association of Ontario, the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, the Financial Planners Standards Council, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Canadian Tax Foundation.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children—particularly at our summer cottage. I also strive to give back to the community whenever possible, whether it’s by volunteering with various professional organizations or holding various board positions at a non-profit gymnastics organization.
