A personal connection helps me fully understand my client’s needs and identify barriers as well as business development opportunities. I find that client-advisor trust plays a special role when it comes to difficult business decisions. With a strong focus on details, I respect deadlines and make sure our team is properly integrated into each project.

As a Partner in Assurance based in our Halifax office, I bring more than 10 years of public practice experience working with large to mid-size businesses operating in several industries including manufacturing, real estate, professional services, mining, financial institutions, technology, universities, and not-for-profit. My comprehensive understanding of our service offerings combined with my versatile client experience helps me identify opportunities and provide tailor-made solutions. I bring expertise in reviews, compilation engagements, complex transactions, acquisitions, and budget and finance analysis.

Additional expertise comes from managing large to mid-size public company audits. In my career, I’ve also worked with key accounting standards such as ASPE, IFRS, NPO, and the Pension and Public Sector. Business community growth is important to me, which is why I support many start-ups with consulting. In the early stages, we discuss business planning, opportunities, and growth tactics. Later, I help new market players with securities transactions and IPOs. Dedicated to my team’s own growth and continuity, I see mentoring and sharing professional expertise with my peers as an essential part of my career.

Community-wise, I raise funds for various local charities and I’m a member of the Board of Directors at Spencer House, a seniors Centre and great local not-for-profit that provides comradery, connections, and various other services to seniors in Halifax.

As a people person, I feel comfortable connecting in both professional settings and outside the office, which at times has resulted in life-long friendships. Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife and two daughters, playing golf and traveling.
