Matthew Bannister

I am passionate about helping my clients and community thrive. Over the course of my career, I have consistently sought to add value to the businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and government agencies I work with – whether it’s a trusted advisor, volunteer, or on the board of directors.

Solving problems for my clients involves having a deep understanding of their needs and working with them to provide tailored solutions to help meet their goals. I enjoy providing a different perspective to client challenges and finding alternative paths to success that others don’t immediately see. I’ve had the distinct pleasure to foster close relationships with my clients, and as a result, I’ve gained in-depth knowledge about a variety of industries and businesses. 

As a Partner in our Salmon Arm office, I support clients with accounting, tax, assurance, and business advisory solutions. With over 12 years in public practice, I’ve worked with a broad base of clients, from small sole proprietors’ businesses to leading the audits of a large Indigenous group of companies. I’ve worked with clients on reorganizations, tax and estate planning, business advisory, and a full range of compliance services.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family travelling, golfing, and exploring the lakes of the Northwest Territories by Sea-Doo. We’ve been camping in our trailer for the past few years at Reid Lake, and my golfing has been almost exclusively on one of the few CPGA-rated sand courses. Our travels usually take us to southern California in the fall and winter where we enjoy extending our summer activities. We’re looking forward to exploring the Shuswap and Okanagan with our recent relocation to Salmon Arm.
