In my years working as a Chartered Accountant, I have developed broad experience in all aspects of tax planning, estate and succession planning, accounting, auditing and financial management. Working with businesses and not-for-profits across industries—including agriculture, construction, oil and gas, and retail—I assist with specialty tax work, farm succession, corporate reorganizations and amalgamations. This can span helping clients with their bookkeeping, analyzing data to assist in their expansions, providing support on the sale of a business or developing estate, succession and tax plans.
Prior to joining forces with Grant Thornton, I was a managing partner at BVA LLP and, before that, spent time working on my family farm. This experience allows me to provide my clients with a real-world perspective for their businesses.
I also believe in giving back to the community where I work, which is why I’m an active Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Medicine Hat. I’m a board member of Rotary Musical Festival Society, as well as the Treasurer of the Bridges Family Programs, and active in 100 Women Who Care.
