Currently a Tax Partner at Grant Thornton, I enjoy working with clients in various industries across Southern Ontario. As a tax advisor, my focus is making sure that all my clients are minimizing taxes on an annual basis, the proper planning has been undertaken to ensure they are well structured to reach their growth potential and they are “sale ready” when that becomes an eventuality. I also work with clients to minimize estate taxes, which involves regular discussions to make sure the plan is on track. I enjoy leading as a tax advisor as it allows me to put a real mark on the success of my clients.

I started with Grant Thornton as a tax manager in January 2015. Upon completing the CPA In Depth Tax Program in November 2013, I’ve enjoyed the opportunities that have arisen including the benefits of working at a great firm to focus exclusively within tax, helping our clients achieve their business goals.

Outside of the office, I thoroughly enjoy participating in community events and causes to work towards one of the firm’s goals of helping our communities thrive. A few examples of my involvement include supporting many local Chamber of Commerce chapters by designing professional development events and hosting webinars for the local business community on emerging issues and tax changes. I continue to enjoy the academic side of things by helping up and coming tax professionals succeed through the CPA In Depth Tax Program, having been appointed as a group facilitator since 2016.

I have a passion for sports and have grown up playing hockey for 25 years. Now as an avid spectator and fan for the Leafs, Raptors and Blue Jays, nothing is more enjoyable than watching my children participate in their own sports and having so much fun in the process reaching their full potential.
