Born and raised in Weyburn, my interest in business and accounting began at a young age when I worked at my family’s business. I started in public practice in 2004 and began working towards my CPA designation shortly after learning I was a tax geek. After receiving my degree in Commerce with Honours, I earned my accounting designation in 2013.
In 2019, I became an associate partner at Cogent CPA LLP before the firm joined Grant Thornton. With a focus in tax and accounting, I’m committed to developing strong relationships with my clients (who are predominantly in agriculture, oil and gas, retail and the not-for-profit sectors), and going the extra mile to help them meet their goals. Although no two days are the same, I primarily help my clients resolve large and small problems in income tax, retail sales tax and payroll, and assist in succession and estate planning.
Along with my husband Boyd, I’m also an active volunteer in a variety of Weyburn sporting programs where our children, Jillian and Drew, are pursuing their own athletic endeavours. Between ball, hockey, fitness and our love of camping, we keep very busy!
