Businesses of all sizes are increasingly being called on to disclose their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and sustainability performance and strategies. As an experienced Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and business advisor, I’m passionate about working with clients to connect the strategic and financial dots when it comes to quantifying and disclosing ESG risks and opportunities.
I’m the national leader of Grant Thornton’s ESG & Sustainability practice and a consulting member of Grant Thornton International’s Sustainability Steering Committee. I also lead the Accounting Standards team, where I oversee and participate in initiatives related to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE), and other Canadian frameworks. I’m a member of the Financial Reporting Advisory Committee of the Canadian Securities Administrators and the Financial Best Practices Committee of the Real Property Association of Canada (REALPAC). In these roles, I help businesses of all size manage risks, assess complex and judgemental financial and sustainability reporting issues, and educate accounting professionals and business leaders on standards and requirements.
With a commitment to client service at the core, I strive to bring trust, value, and a human perspective to all client engagements. I provide my clients strategic advice, a collaborative mindset, and a comprehensive understanding of their most pressing challenges to help them unlock opportunities. With growing team of talented professionals, I lead with purpose and foster an environment where all colleagues can share their ideas openly and execute on their purpose.
