As the Managing Partner in Newfoundland and Labrador, I lead a team of professional advisors to ensure our clients benefit from the variety of expertise we provide. Focused primarily on strategy and leadership, I oversee the Firm’s contribution to regional economic development by helping growing businesses achieve their goals. Encouraging nationwide colleague collaboration, I make sure our team has the most up to date expertise and can address specific clients’ needs.
From an advisor perspective, I help mid-sized privately held businesses with tax, assurance, and advisory issues. As a designated Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA), I support family businesses with succession planning, restructuring, and strategic decision-making. My broad knowledge base comes from advising clients in many different industries from construction and real estate, fisheries, agriculture, hospitality, management or (holding) companies, to retail. I’ve also worked with Indigenous communities, to support their growth and financial independence. With more than 25 years of professional experience, I build trust by listening, which essentially leads to life-time friendships.
With previous experience working for a Big 4 firm, complimented by a variety of roles within the firm, I learned the importance of leaving a lasting legacy. That’s why I put special emphasis on building a strong professional team, encouraging coaching, and knowledge sharing. I strive to be a good leader and colleague and always enjoy giving a second opinion or being pulled into a specific business case.
Giving back to the community is an important part of my life, and, as of now, I’ve concluded my 7 years term as a Treasurer Executive for Kids Eat Smart Newfoundland and Labrador.
Passionate about growth in everything, you can find me on my back yard nourishing flowers and trees. Being an avid builder, I spend my time enhancing my summer home, whether it’s a shed, a deck, or an outside bar. Also, you can easily meet me cheering for my amazing daughters at their skating and dancing events.
