I’m an assurance partner in the Southern Ontario Business Unit of Grant Thornton, providing a full suite of assurance, accounting and domestic and cross-border tax services. With more than 30 years’ experience, I enjoy putting my technical expertise to work for a wide range of not-for-profit organizations, as well as medium to large privately held businesses.

I began my career as an articling student in Waterloo before moving to sunny Jamaica to work for a Big Four accounting firm. I returned to Toronto to work for that’ firm’s National Office, and then moved into banking. Finally, I returned to my roots in the Niagara Region and to public accounting.

I love to teach, and I’ve been able to share some of my career experience as an adjunct professor at the University of Waterloo, Ryerson University and Redeemer University College. I’m also on the Board of Governors of Conrad Grebel University College, and I’m currently the co-chair of finance and risk management for the Toronto 2018 Host Organizing Committee for the Toronto 2018 Rotary International Convention.

In my local community, I’m an active member of Rotary Club of Lincoln, and have previously served on the board of the Wise Guys Charity Fund, the St.Catharines Downtown Association, and the United Way of St. Catharines & District. My wife and I are the proud parents of six grown sons, and have three adorable grandchildren.

My personal pursuits include golf, skiing, hockey, canoeing and hitting the road on my Yamaha V-Star.
