As a tax professional with over 15 years of experience, I help small and medium-sized business owners with a range of matters, including corporate and personal tax compliance, tax planning, estate and succession planning, reorganizations, business purchases and sales, and Canada Revenue Agency audits. No matter what I’m working on, my objective is to provide practical solutions to complex challenges that align with my clients’ business needs.
After obtaining my Chartered Accountant designation in 2004, I successfully completed the CPA Canada’s In-Depth Taxation Course. I am also a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC and the Canadian Tax Foundation. Today, I leverage this background to deliver services across numerous industries—including professional services, real estate, contracting, automotive, hospitality, retail, technology and with First Nations organizations.
Thanks to my strong belief in community service, I have been involved in numerous community organizations. I served on the TRU Board of Governors, including being the Chair of the Audit Committee, appointed by the Lieutenant-Governor. I was also a Director of the Rotary Club of Kamloops Daybreak and the Kamloops Brain Injury Association, as well as a high school basketball coach. In the past, I also acted as Director of the TRU Sports Task Force, the Kamloops Food Bank and the Kamloops Central Business Improvement Association. In addition to this, I also chaired the Kamloops Ribfest for three years.
As a result of my community involvement, I received the City of Kamloops Distinguished Service Award in 2013 and a Community Service Award from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC in 2014.
When not at work, I enjoy hiking, biking, snowshoeing, kayaking, and playing tennis, soccer and basketball.
