Toronto, ON [November 17, 2023]—To enhance client service in Alberta, Grant Thornton combined its Northern and Southern Alberta Business Units into a single Alberta Business Unit. The change will join the complementary skills and resources of the two business units under a united leadership structure and strategy.
“This unification will allow us to deliver a single strategy from a single team in a single province,” says Grant Popowich, Managing Partner, Grant Thornton. “Our Alberta clients will barely notice the change from day to day—they’ll have the same advisors and receive the same excellent service.”
Under the new model, Grant Popowich will take on the role of Managing Partner for the Alberta Business Unit, while Tracey Zehl will be responsible for delivering on Grant Thornton’s client strategy in the region. This division of labour will facilitate both ongoing operational excellence as well as an increased focus on expanding Grant Thornton’s presence in Alberta.
