Working with small business clients to help them overcome challenges and seize opportunities has been a longtime passion of mine. I also thrive on continually innovating and staying on top of the newest technology for ways to deliver client value. Before joining Grant Thornton in 2022 as a Partner in the IBG group, I owned my own CPA practice for over 13 years. We provided an integrated service offering which included accounting, cloud bookkeeping, payroll, and tax services. My team focused on servicing owner-operated businesses in the Greater Toronto Area. Now, with the Grant Thornton team, we can continue delivering the same exceptional service but with an expanded range of offerings to clients in the region. Previously, I worked at Deloitte for 10 years where I was engaged in several large public and private corporate audits and reviews. This gave me extensive experience in corporate reorganizations, estate planning, voluntary disclosure filings, personal and corporate income tax compliance, and planning (including renumeration strategies for owner-managed businesses). I’m a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada and have acquired my QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification. I’m also fluent in English and proficient in French and Farsi. Outside of work, I can be found in the stands of my kids’ rep basketball games, working on personal fitness, skiing, and vacationing with my family.

I can help clients with their financial statements, tax compliance, corporate and personal tax planning, and general business advice. With more than ten years of experience, my focus is on assisting owner-managed businesses in the small- to mid-size range. I specialize in various industries, including professional services, construction, real estate, hospitality, holdings company management, and retail. At every stage in the business lifecycle, I support clients’ accounting, tax, assurance, and business advisory needs. I have a strong commitment to helping my clients and putting myself in clients’ shoes. Being able to be a business advisor to all my clients is a goal that is aspirational but deeply satisfying as well. Fluency in both English and Mandarin establishes me as a trusted link connecting clients between Asia and Canada and allows me to help Mandarin-speaking business owners grow their businesses in Canada and navigate cultural, political, and regulatory differences.
