About the client

Canadian College of Health Science & Technology (CCHST) is a family-owned, private career college located in Windsor, Ontario, that specializes in healthcare, business, and IT programs. CCHST takes pride in ensuring that its students are well-prepared to enter the workforce and further their careers.

When the shareholders at CCHST decided to transition out of the business, they wanted a buyer with a passion for education and community engagement. After many conversations with interested strategic acquirors, the shareholders agreed on selling to a like-minded individual with existing interests in the education sector.

Our Transactions team worked closely with the shareholders to navigate the twists and turns of an extensive search for a buyer, guided them through the sale process, and provided tax planning advice.

Together with our Transactions team, shareholders achieved their objectives and completed a fair transaction that accomplished their goals—allowing them to transition into retirement.
